This is beyond a normal noise...
It’s not a grinding noise....it’s just a very loud hummmm but beyond what’s normal. It’s most obvious when it’s engaged and then barely obvious when it’s disengaged
I’m aware the driveline has to be unloaded but traditionally it’s been let off the throttle for a split second and it completely disengages. Now, we are like let off the throttle and coast for 200-300 yards before it disengages OR pop it into neutral.
I have a notion it’s this Cardin joint in...
2012 CCSB ST, 4WD in the floor. 115k miles.
Ran into some odd issues where when you put it in 4H I got a real low hum (not a grinding sound) from the transfer case that would sortve progressively get louder to a point then just kind of stay there. Once this started it wouldn't easily come out...
Mother of God Almighty.....my luck....
Its "upstream" of that plug by about 3".....maybe.
Is the lead that plugs into that the actual body harness or is it a stretch that plugs from there to somewhere else....
All of my specs are in the signature block...
But are their any members who know where I could procure a parts breakdown (military term) of the ABS or braking system for a 4th gen truck? Something where I can view an image an obtain a part number? My dealer is less than helpful and everytime I...
Good point.
Using a Raceme Ultra
The timing is advanced one click to I think it's like 24 or 26 degrees...
just odd it would take a week but who knows. Would going backwards or farther forward help?
Thanks for the advice...
ive taken everything out of the dash and doors just to make sure that wasn't it...
its a muffled sound so its under the hood; I checked the exhaust....not making contact. I can hear it in the cab muffled.....but of course with the hood open you can specifically hear...
I have a 12 3500. Did all the deletes using Sinister kits. Also installed a 5" Flo Pro TBE at the same time.
First 3-4 days perfect. Ran fine, no codes, no nothing. About 5 days in a develop the most faint rattle ONLY at idle. Raise the RPM 20-50 and it stops. It's coming from center dash in...
Do you have any other issues OP?
I ask because i have the same model year, same everything with the exception of the MM....
When I got done with the deletes a week ago all was well, no codes, perfect.
A week later I am developing a rattle coming from the center dash to the glove box...
Probably a real dumb question....
But I want to delete the EGR, throttle valve, and install a 5" TBE along with a programmer.
Can I install the programmer and do the under the hood deletes and run it with the stock exhaust until my exhaust pieces come in without screwing anything up?
2012 Ram...
Snoking--
Financially if that was an option I would entertain it....have some other significant life events right now that would directly be affected by that transaction...
But then again owning one isn't cheap either ;)
I am trying to get some help preferably from some individuals who've went down this road and have expierence with different products, just looking to get some opinions and expierences from those folks.
What I've got is a stock '12 Ram 3500. My end goal is a full delete of the throttle valve...
Interesting. Almost like the EB has to be on to go thru a regen cycle? If that was the case, why not drive around everywhere with the EB on? Could it hurt anything?
To fault of my own I have put no additional gauges on it but likely will in the near future. I didn't really want to do it or...
