    Dunno what happened early on or at the last fillup. Prolly a weird pump or a I misread the numbers.

    Not sure, but try a rubber lubricant, perhaps silicone? I use some on the door seals every year to help keep them happy.

    4% was the average difference. Individual fill-ups have been a lot worse, both pos and neg deviations.

    Yep, I figure most of the random error is due to the pump/fill process. But beyond that, there can definitely be a systematic error, with the EVIC about 4% optimistic in my case, .

    The cigarette lighter outlet may not stay connected to the battery. After awhile it may be disconnected. With my car, I had to clip the solar panel leads directly to the battery.

    Good idea.Stored mine for ~7 weeks and the batteries were totally dead. Needed a tow to the dealer and had them both replaced under warranty. Manual says, max of 3 weeks storage, otherwise disconnect the neg terminals.
