Thanks for the replies, bit the bullet, pulled the drivers seat so i had room to maneuver and found the problem under the dash. New stop light switch and piece of wire loom from the salvage yard and I'm back in business. Thanks again for the replies and suggestions.
Truck has a homebuilt flatbed with round farm style plug in lights. I have owned the truck for 8 mo or so and all lights have been functional until the stop light switch burned up.
Stop light switch and wires melted about 8 inches up the loom. Grnd wire (BLK/GRN tracer) melted insulation all the way up to the back of the guage pod. Sorted wires, spliced new connector in yet still no brake lights nor turn signal or flasher. Flasher relay replaced, 20 amp fuse replaced...
