I am running the 255`s on the rear only as mine is a 2wd. The rims are stock steel and Alcoa`s. It is turning 2100 to 2200 at 70mph in 6th gear with 4. 10 gears. 1. 25 in between sidewalls. Sorry I missed this in first post, They might be a little too tall for 3. 54s and stock engine. Hope this...
I have 255-85r-16 Cooper on mine no spacers needed as there is no side wall contact. 30k on them now, looks like 15 to 20 left. They are load range D, but weight cap. as E`s in 235-85-16. Hope this helps.

I transported 30ft to 40ft boats, combined weight of trailer and boat anywhere
between 10k and 18k. S. Fl. to Long Island N. Y. That puts a truck through hell.
Long runs on cruise, then traffic jams with 10 to 15 mph stop&go with alot of uphill starts plus the strain of backing 40ft...

If your truck came with the NV5600 when it was new, it is an HO. The only offered the HO and NV5600 as a package. The HO engine has a 17 to 1 compression, the standard is 16. 5 to 1.
Good Luck
Odds are your leak comes from timing cover and or front main seal. This should be around a 4 to 5hr job. the timing cover does not have a gasket, it is sealed with a bead of Cummins gasket sealer. The job is not real complicated and this a normal repair on 2nd gen. they pass 150000mi. Look for a...
