    Particulate filter problem

    Found the answer in the engine and transmission section of the rondtable. under NEW TSB. Describes why the engine idles up and that it is suppose to do that after prolonged ideling and low loads. Apparently what mine is doing is normal and don't have to drive it 50 miles to regenerate.

    Harvey, I had the same problem with the fuel filter. It is impossible for me with short arms to change or drain the fuel filter. Finally took it to a dealer and they changed from the botton on the rack about 2/3 up and loosened from the front and removed fron the back. $35. 00 labor charge...

    Particulate filter problem

    I have a 2007 3500 6. 7L with AUTO trans. My work calls for a lot of slow speed or idle speed driving and the particulate filter plugs regularly and then the engine idles itself to about 1000 rpm.
