Brilliant. I was looking for more of a pros vs cons on the products. I really want to make the right choice and am not sure of complete replacement or rebuild, and or parts. On DTT web site I didn't really see what the torque converters are rated at.
As far as reading other mags, at times I...
Been trying to do research on rebuild or replace transmission. Obviously rebuild would be cheaper. I really just want to do this once so I'm torn between replacing with ATS, as every magazine on a shelf says they are great or rebuild using local parts (flex plate, converter, valve body) from...
I towed for the first time this past weekend with my 06. The load was slide in camper and boat. We drove about 80 miles each way on freeway at about 67-70 mph, then an additional 30 miles of other roads and hills ranging from 20 mph to 55mph. The total miles for the trip was about 220 miles...
I'm picking up our new camper today. We bought new 06 3500 dually about a month ago and I've put about 1,000 miles on truck. Plan on camper staying on truck most the time through october anyway. Just wondering if should have more break in time on truck before sticking load on for the duration. I...
Has anyone had this happen? I think it's a safety for the truck to warn you to shut door. Often when hooking up my boat I will hop in and out of the truck to check hitch and trailer for hook up. Sometimes I don't always shut the door because I'll be getting right back out. Can you bipass the...
Have 37 toyos on my 03, but with 6 speed, no problems at all. 3. 73 gears 65mph over Mt. Hood towing 6000lbs. That was before bullydog, can't wait till Hood thaws out. :D
Grizz, thanks for the reply, taking all into consideration. Will probably take the purchased camper when it's done or one similar before on a test run and see just how much different it is from my previous dually camper setup. I'm not against dually at all, and safety is my primary goal.
Eedmondson- Pretty heavy comment don't you think!
First and foremost you don't know me, my driving skill, or anything else about me or my vehicle.
I have had a dually and as posted before "if" I don't think it's the right way to go I would change the truck to such if necessary.
I have...
Well, Yesterday I thought I wouldn't order it and cancelled the deal. Thought it over today and changed my mind. Looked at 3500 srw and all I could come up with for a difference in truck was the overload springs. Axle and rest of truck appear to be no different than 2500 diesel's. Going to try...
