I talked to a fellow and he did a similar thing in a similar year and was able to use 07 ecm and tipm. He was still able to use the 08+ dash and cluster.

it should. it uses the same communication as the 08. I'm already running a drop-in style turbo. After seeing the price tag on a reman or drop-in for a 6.7 turbo I will stick with an non vgt. The solenoids aren't cheap to replace either.

For the time being I still plan on putting that 05 motor in. Maybe the prices of 6.7 engine will come down in the next 5-10 years.

Thankfully South Carolina isn't strict on E stuff. There's not even an yearly inspection.
