Changed the batteries on my 2019 3500 as they were no longer holding a charge. Immediately thereafter, my camera system (backup, surround view, park assist) quit working. I have the 12 inch display and the "backup camera" "button" there has disappeared and the backup function no longer shows...
My 2019 3500 is by far a better truck than was my 2005, 2011 or 2015! Great fuel milage and plenty of power with the "normal" 6.7 and non-Aisin. I'd go 2019 and up if you can swing it.

I have owned a 2001 (1500 gas), a 2003 (2500 gas), a 2005 (3500 Laramie, 5.9), a 2011 (3500 Laramie, 6.7) a 2015 (3500 Laramie, 6.7) and now have a 2019 3500 Laramie (850 lb.ft). It is loaded with just about everything you can imagine and in the year I have been driving it my frequent thought...

I am not worried about the Ram brand at all. They have been the best trucks for years, with or without a Cummins (although that makes then MUCH better) and will continue to be so. I have owned a 2001 1500 (360), a 2003 2500 (Hemi), a 2005 3500(Cummins), a 2011 3500 (Cummins) a 2015 3500...
I have a 2019 after having totalled my 2015. I never cared whether the '15 was regenerating or not...It was all seamless. The 2019 actually gives you an evic message when is regenerates.
