ive changed the fuel filter but i still have problems starting my dodge 99 2500. It will eventually start but it takes a while and the check engine light comes on when it doesnt start. are there any other filter or screens that should be changed/cleaned in the fuel system. Lift pump/injectors...
OK, I did the lock-up test. With the OD off 1-2 dropped ~200 rpm and 2-3 dropped ~100 rpm. With the OD on 1-2 and 2-3 were less noticeable but the drop from 3-4 is noticeable with over a 500 rpm drop. Does this tell you anything?
I just did a TC lock up test. I was rollin at about 60 and turned off the OD then put it to the floor. It slowly climbed to 65. It seems to gain speed faster if you ease into it. Which makes me think the torque converter is not locking up. The ATF does look good but I talked to the old owner...
