Ive had several people tell me the Goodyears might be the problem. I actually like the looks of them better than the Firestones, but I'm sure loving the smooth ride. It sure seems like a lot of people have vibration problems with these 3500 trucks, caused by a lot of different things.
Bought this truck used, had 55-75 mph vibration from day one. I thought it was probably just tire balance. Had the Good Year Wranglers balanced, but it didn't help. I started reading everything I could on the forums and concluded it could be a number of driveline connected things. I didn't want...
I had a 98.5, then a 2001, and I did some mild bombing to both. They would make me proud every time I put them to work. I've had my '09 for a year, have deleted it and added a tuner, and I think it's a great truck. I spent several years learning all I could about 2nd gens, and I'm in the process...
My alert was set at 40, but was going off at 25psi on my boost gauge. I turned the alert off, and I have the alarm on my boost set at 40. Hope this is a safe setting.
Your 2500 CTD will handle most 5ers under 30' without difficulty. Hook to it and pull it a few miles before buying, if possible keeping in mind that it doesn't have all your stuff in it, yet. As to your BIL, I suspect he'd find more pleasure with a bumper pull. I once bought a "light weight" 5er...
My Edge CS2 has a manifold pressure alert which goes off every time I go full throttle. I've read several articles, most not the "for dummies" versions. Would I damage my truck if I raised the alert level from its present 39? My boost guage is reading low 20s when I get the alert notification.
Thanks for the response. Based on this, I'm going to continue to monitor from the pan. Previously, I had two different 2nd gens, and I had the sensor in the cooler line of both of them. All I really need to know is whether or not the Trans is getting too hot to operate safely. Guages have sure...
I have an edge evolution CS2.. It has a transmission temperature gauge that picks up from the pan. Do I need a transmission temperature sensor in the line that goes to the cooler, also? I have everything I need to do it, but I'm just not sure it's necessary.
No, it doesn't work. I watched a YouTube video on the Evo CS, and it showed "enable fast idle." I have the CS2, which I understand to a step up, but I don't find that in my menu. I'm disappointed that it I'll not enable it.
