    Need help with Edge CTS2

Just wanted to post an update. Edge customer support was extremely helpful. It took a few weeks for them to come up with a fix, but they did it. They said they were experiencing similar issues with other 3rd gen trucks and came up with a software update. I believe the issue with the unit...

    Need help with Edge CTS2

My Edge Evolution CTS2 developed a strange issue a few weeks ago, I just purchased it in July. It started turning on by itself overnight and developed a "ghost touch" issue where the screen acted like someone was touching it while driving. I contacted Edge and was sent a new unit and I even...

    2001 power seat fix?

The products from 2en1garage work well, I recently replaced one of the motors in my 2006. Geno's has the kits as well.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Need Jack handle and extension for 2500.

What do you mean by "extension"? The piece that lowers the spare tire? I use a ratchet extension and socket. I also keep a bottle jack in my truck, the jacks that came with the trucks from the factory are garbage.

Need help identifying this electronic module.

In less scientific terms, carbon means it was burned, it just wasn't burned completely. "Unburned fuel" is technically not the correct term. I'm pretty sure we can agree that soot means there was excessive fuel regardless of the term used.

Will do. My father referred me here, he's been a member for a while and subscribes to the TDR. I will have a lot of questions as I progress with modifying my truck in the future.

Need help identifying this electronic module.

I think a lot of people get that confused. I often see soot or black smoke referred to as unburned fuel when searching in forums, not specific to the diesel world.

Need help identifying this electronic module.

I would have thought about keeping it but the switch is missing. I really don't want to mess with any tuning devices on this truck at the moment, I don't know much about the history of the truck and I need it to be a reliable for a long time. I've owned 4.7L Dakotas and 5.9L Magnum Rams in the...

Need help identifying this electronic module.

After removing the module and wiring harness, it is apparent that it was working. I was getting a little soot coming from the exhaust when I really got on it originally. Now I get no soot. There is a noticeable performance decrease, but really only past the 2500 rpm mark. Not a big deal to me...

Need help identifying this electronic module.

After finding some instructions for the unit, it appears the red LED is lit, indicating it is on power level 3. I'll be totally disconnecting the entire unit since the "bypass" plug isn't with it. Thanks again for the help!
