Hey the same thing happened to me shifting into third pulling away from a redlight. I got home took the shifter console out and found the four bolts holding the shifter to to top of the transmission were all just barely threaded in. I tightened them all back up and they came loose again in two...
Well guys the truck is now up and running with a new VP and a non 53 block. It so nice to not have to add antifreeze anymore! Thanks for all the help and input with my problems. This forum alone is worth the price of membership. Oh yea and thanks to industrial injection for the fast service on...
well guys a new VP should be here today. Ill post the results. The key on the other pump was fine so the VP bit the dust just sitting covered up in my shop! I guess i was just on borrowed time with the old pump having 135,000 on it so I cant complain.
Ok guys I was able to start taking the pump out tonight and first rotated the engine until the key was at 12 o clock. I started using the gear puller on the cam gear and i almost didnt even need it?!?!? I torqued the pump nut to spec when i put the pump back in the block so i dont know what...
All i did was change out the block. I reused my crank rods ,ecm, inj pump etc. The truck was running great when i shut it down to pull the motor. I just find it strange that it would just go out sitting on the shelf in my garage without any problems or codes before hand. When i first got it...
Hey guys just got finished replacing a cracked 53 block but went to start and bleed fuel injector lines and could only get fuel to come out of #4 injector. Checked for codes and got 1690, 251, and 252. Pump was running great with no problems before I pulled the motor. Is it possible that i...
Anyone know where I can get the fitting that goes into the bottom of the vacuum pump/power steering assembly? It threads into the bottom of the pump and then into the pressurized oil line coming from the engine block.
Truck is an 01' ETC 3500.
Thanks,
Dustin
Aeromotive products are probably one of the most well built that are out on the market today. Its hard to find the quality workmanship that they use in their pumps. Ive used their pumps in several gas applications but have never tried it in diesel but im sure they wouldnt have any problems...
Master Fuel Pumps
Hey guys , im a manager at an Advance Auto Parts store and master is one of the brand fuel pumps that we carry. The lift pump sold for our trucks by Autozone is also by master. If there could be any pump more failure prone than the ones on our trucks it would be a lift pump...
Hey guys with my edge ez hooked up and the wastegate for my turbo completely blocked off my truck will max out at 25lbs boost on a hard uphill pull. With the wastegate bypassed shouldnt I be building more boost than that or is that normal for my near stock setup. Just wanted to make sure that I...
Thanks for the input guys. Ill definitely keep a hawkeye on my boost and Exhaust temps if i decide to tinker with the wastegate any. Do you think the drag comp on top of a set of mild injectors would be to much for the stock HX35? I wouldnt be looking for anything over a 40-50hp injector? Oh BTW...
Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I appreciate the fast response. If you dont mind giving me some advice , im thinking about upgrading my injectors and possibly going to the edge drag comp. Id like to have controllable smoke(even though i do like leaving black clouds on a ferd "super poopy" when...
