Ok thanks for the reply. I am back out with the rest of my stuff from the move and looking for a little more help. The truck drives fine and you would not know anything was wrong if you did not let off the gas or stayed in fourth.
It does have a little fluid leak out of the bell housing area...
Ok I was wanting to get some opinions. I was driving to CO with about a 12 k trailer from indiana. I made it to the CO border and notice it went hard into fith gear after getting back on interstate. Got off the interstate in a couple hundred miles and when I let off the gas it makes a clicking...
i think i am just going to do head studs and a 10 gasket and call it good. i have no desire to ever run more power than what i have (tired of fixing things that break). i will have the head all redone and slap it back together and forget about it. i am so tired of my bombing addiction. lol...
thanks. i was just wondering cause for the extra dough i can add some fire rings instead of the valve grind and stuff. i already have 60 lb springs and i will be running arp studs as well.
i have 110 on my truck and have the head off and at a shop. i want to have it checked for cracks and trued up. the shop wants 550 to go though the whole thing and recomends that. it is only 150 to deck the head and check for cracks. should i get the valves ground or am i ok with only 110,000...
i have a ats 3 piece but i would bet they are all made in the same place. isn't it about the same price for a name brand one. i hate bd stuff so i would recomend staying away from them even if they are made in the same place. just wont give them my money anymore. is your stock one cracked i...
thanks guys i just figure the worst things happen to me. if it could be a oil cooler a head gasket or a cracked block it is always the worst thing (at least it seams that way). i did a bunch of searching last night and i found a lot of info on here about the 53 block and i belive you are guys...
How many of you had this happen?
so i found oil in my radiator today. i know it could be oil cooler, head gasket or a cracked block. i am just wondering how often these motors crack. if you haven't guessed it by now, i have one. will pull oil cooler over the weekend or sooner if i can and...
OK so i went to check some things and found oil in my coolant. as far as i can tell it is not in the oil though. no bubbles in my coolant reservoir and my oil pressure is fine (no change from the crappy factory gauge). has anybody had a oil cooler go bad and would that mabey be the culprit? i...
there are so many variables that it will be impossible to tell the horsepower without a dyno. were is your plate. hows the pump set up ect... i would guess your would be around 500 with twins but who knows till you just pay to have the dyno done. good luck and if you spent that much on her just...
my leaking oil i mentioned in post #82 has stopped. i believe highfinance was right. it was just residue left over in the tube that came out for about 2 months after the install of new covers. thanks and i highly recommend these covers.
here is a link to my discription of the problem as well. i put it in the 3rd gen spot by mistake. thanks

no air bubbles at all and the level in the reservoir is exactly the same. i marked a line on it. any other thoughts? this is not a problem i have had since i got the truck. it just started doing this and it has not caused a problem yet but it is very annoying.
mine does it after it is warmed up as well. now it is doing it all the time unless i am revving up the engine or driving (it will do it on a 2000 rpm down shift or above as well). i checked my reservoir for air bubbles and there are none so that is a good sign. my heater also seems to not be...
