ya a real beast. practically everyone says they shift so bad it feels like your rear ended by another vehicle. people have even lemon lawed the truck because the trans was so bad.

your train of thought is to keep a newer fluid average in the system. every other fluid on the vehicle degrades over time and gets hot just the same. diff oil is sheared constantly between hypoid gears. why not suck a qaurt or two out every oil change ? or pump the cooling resorvior ?
i get it ...
the differential runs 170f on the highway empty. cooling system 210f. tcase gets hot as a muther also. so the ps gets more abuse ? lol how funny.
having exchanged ps fluid on two of my vehicles ,i didnt find it difficult at all. ya youll need two floor jacks but theres nothing tricky about it...
normaly this is how you would exchange the ps fluid. suck what you can from the resorvoir. unhook a return line ,but without looking at the truck i couldnt tell you exactly which line. drop the unhooked return line in a bucket (plug off the other side of the unhooked line). jack both front...
im sure the tcase would be ok to 60mph but what if you need to stop or make evasive action on those road conditions ? i would recomend common sense and good judgment.
i would also caution against engaging 4x4 at those high speeds unless it was absolutely necesarry in a emergency situation...
sun destroys everything. tires ,dash , moldings ,paint. why would the radio screen be any different. we'll be seeing you sooner or later. just a matter of time :D:D:D
