If I recall the 2009 ecu had extra security and there was a program that was loaded before the efi-live tune was loaded to open the gateway. You may want to check your tune writer to see if they accounted for this. I only run on stock power setting and the truck runs so much better.
OK, need some advice here from you guys who know.
Last week I borrowed a trailer from my brother to bring home a load of fertilizer. The trailer I borrowed has dual wheels. Before I left on my trip I checked the air pressure on the trailer tires and of course they needed air. I couldn't get...
So does anyone have an opinion on Mobil Delvac 1300 blend 15w-40 oil? I have always used Valvoline 15w-40 conventional oil with 5k oil changes. The Mobil is much cheaper priced ($12.37) at my local Sam’s Club than what I can purchase the Valvoline oil. I can also get Rotella T4 ($15.66) for a...
Here is a link to the radio install in my 2009 truck. The Kenwood radio (dnx577s) does everything you're looking for. I have mixed thoughts about it because I find the various menu's a chore to get through to get what you want. Changing radio stations is not the easiest as the buttons are...

I have the light load button on my old truck. There is a technique for changing the load status. Turn the ignition on (no start), adjust the pressure and push the button.
During the winter or on a long trip with no trailer I use the light load setting. 45R/60F. It makes quite a difference in...
Watched the video.
I understand the reasoning behind moving the catalyst next to the turbo. It seems like a lot of extra heat under the hood to bake and make brittle wiring and the other components under the hood. I hope Ram can move a lot of air under the hood.
Also their banter about...
Definitely a video worth watching. Very frustrating seeing all these counterfeit parts. I have bought Baldwin oil filters from Rock Auto when they were on sale in the past. Now it makes me wonder what I have been purchasing. Where does Rock Auto get them and then sell them much cheaper than...
I should buy a lottery ticket. My truck batteries are 7 years old here in December 2024. I can tell they are getting up in age. I do allow the grid heater to cycle and the truck starts quicker (less revolutions) than if I bypass the grid heater cycle.
My local battery guy told me to always...
