The only way i can see this happening is if the controls are not working properly. Both "heat" and "vent" come from the heater core (obviously) and just get routed differently by the ducts. I don't see how one could be hot and one could be cold, other than "vent" getting routed from the...
As erratic as it is, it screams vacuum leak to me, thats just the feeling i get. Do you use "heat" or "vent" on hot? Is it blowing out of the correct location? Did you get a chance to check that vacuum valve on the top of the engine? Which hoses did you check?
I hate vacuum lines

Trim a little and fold it back under with some channel locks or something. Nothing worse than pulling a tire off and cutting the top of your head on your fender
Also if your tires where ever to come close enough to the fender you don't have to worry about the metal cutting into the...
Here is a '90 with 33x12. 50's on 16. 5" wide rims. They clear with no lift and don't rub at all.
Here is my '90 with 315's (35x12. 5's) on stock rims. I have a 2" body lift and cut front fenders. There is so much clearance on mine because it used to have 36" tsl's on it, which cleared...
The vacuum lines go through the firewall right behind your glove box. If you take your glove box out you can see them. If that valve is not getting enough vacuum your heater will never work, it shuts off the coolant to your heater core. A quick fix is to take a zip tie and push that plunger all...
Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I'm talking about a vehicle that still has a suspension, but at rest the d-shaft is at 0*. I help my buddies sometimes with their custom projects, and we were working on making the drivelines one day. He had to rework stuff a little bit to give the driveshaft an...
My buddy is a master mechanic and he always does this to us. We say something about "the motor" and he'll replay with, "motor huh? well, which motor are we talking about? then he'll start to list all the various motors in a vehicle until he's had his laughs.

My personal favorite (maybe its just where i live) is, "man that thing is loud, you should cut out your muffler and make it really loud!"
I one time almost got into a full blown argument with some idiot at the Dodge dealership (not an employee) no less. He informed me that '94 was the first...
I was always told if you run a u-joint at 0* it will fry it because the pins won't move. Is there any truth to that? (while we're on u-joint theory).
Chris
Yes i learned why the power was set to what it was set at in my statistics class. Dodge determines what % of trucks they want to warranty and sets the warranty period accordingly. Then they altar the truck to make that warranty as long as possible. A 250hp Cummins in front of a Getrag will most...
Most of the twin shifter kits are mostly just brackets for the two shifters. All you really have to do to make your 205 a twin sticked transfer case is take out the two "pills" that ride in between the two shifter rods. That lets you shift the two forks independently of each other.
