did you ever fix your problem? I had the exact same issue... just on a much larger scale i pulled the head changed gasket (job includes removal of fuel system). I put back together and it would not run. i had a crank sensor code so i replaced the sensor... nothing still. i figured i installed...
agreed High Rpm seems to be the source for all my cooling leaks. I looking back i was in a hurry, cruising at a high rate of speed, diagnosing some issues along way and i think i had the overdrive switch in the off position. I got a mile from home and it started to overheat so i took a longer...
so whats the word? did they refund you? by the way they act i got a feeling they gonna try to make you eat the labor to remove the trans regardless. they did remove it... but it wasnt neccessary to replace the broke shift tower. also they are the ones whom talked crazy saying a 3/4 or 1" thick...
I used an ATS converter with a HTS trans. bad combo only lasted 4700k miles. i bought a used truck on ebay. it had a gorend full billet trans in it. the previous owner on had a smarty, afe stage 2 and gauges. we added dual cp3 120hp injectors much more aggressive tuning, airflow mods, finally we...
I just bought a stock 06 f650 with cummins. I love the difference between stock cp3 and dual cp3 on my other truck so when funds are available I will be buying a modded pump. I feel its worth it. try it if your not happy ill give you my address so you can hunt me down lol
I had this problem with one of my trucks. I was draining the rail. suggest a aftermarket injector pump but you may be able to get away with just a fass pump and or a modded rail from TCwest. for the 1st time i beat him to bragging on his own product. his company also is a nice company to deal with
Oh and exhuast wrap helps make up for the difference when you use too big of a pipe. it also acts as a muffler when you put it from turbo to just behind front doors.
and another thing. wheelbase actually has alot to do with proper exhuast size. the longer the length the bigger the pipe can...
heres 3 actual comparisomes on three trucks 3 completely different setups
My 04. 5 dually 48re(at time): stock cp3, 90hp injectors, afe stage 2, stock turbo, ats manifold, banks intercooler kit with intake. banks 6 gun/speedloader/PPE HOT stack (hate me idc) i went from 4" straight pipe...
WTH! Bring the service manager and the tech some coffee in the morning and trip. heres another idea if they dont repay you come back with a generator a 6" grinder with a wire wheel and go to town in the parking lot near the bay doors (make sure wind is right). the dust will make the techs choke...
wow alot of very unhelpful responses. I reccomend going to a medium duty rear axle assembly. My F650 can come in two configurations air or hydraulic brakes. find the hydraulic brake variety for ease of install. lower gears in the rear axle take the strain and load off of everything before the...
Ive got a ton of money invested in 48re's different trucks several times, several different companies. Im still paying off the credit card from last summer's rebuild. guess what time its coming to? I dont want to throw money out the window anymore. I want to buy a core, parts, tooling to do it...
as you can see in the pics the gm 14 bolt is similar width to the dana 70U the dana is 1/4 wider on the wms to wms. The leaf perch to perch on the dana is 44" the GM is 43" so it must be cut off and new made to replace it at 44". the pinion length from center of axle tube to center of U-joint is...
dear tdr web editors it would be cool if you could just post a pic from your computer in a particular place in your write up... not just as an attachment wherever the attachment goes to. thx.
