I got out my electrical tester and sure enough I had missed a blown fuse. I must have blown two and over-looked one of them. Lesson learned. Thanks guys.
My turn signals quit working the other day after a hood up a trailer with bad wireing. I blew a fuse, which I replaced. I replaced the turn signal relay also. The hazard light still work. Also, my ABS and Brake warning lights went on at the same time and are still on. Previously, I had a problem...
I would highly recommend getting new ones from Dodge. I bought two aftermarket fenders when I rebuilt the front end of my truck and they pretty much sucked. They dented easily, didn't fit well, and were extremely flimsy compared to the origanals. If I had it to do again, I would definitely spend...
If your like me and don't have a tach or you want to check the accuracy of your tach here's an easy formula.
RPM = (MPH x Gear Ratio x OverDrive Ratio x 336) / Tire Diameter
Tire Diameter = 2x (Section Width x Aspect Ratio)/ 2540 + Rim Diameter example 2x(235 x 85)/ 2540 + 16= tire diameter
jlast, I was referring to the distance between the radiator and the stud for the stock clutch. I measured about 3. 5" at best. Let me know if the taurus fan fits. I'd love to give it a try.
Has anyone actually put a ford taurus fan on a intercooled truck? I went to a junk yard today and did some measuring. I just don't see how it would fit in there. I've been wanting to put in an electric fan, but I haven't been able to find anything this enough to fit in-between the radiator and...
I would like to install a aftermarket water temperature gauge. My stock gauge fluctuates a lot under normal driving conditions and I curious what is actually happening. So far all the gauge I've looked at go up to about 280 degrees, which makes is hard to read at the 180 mark. I'd like to find...
My fan clutch bit the dust today. It has seized up and runs the fan all the time, causing quite a bit of extra noise, and power loss I suppose. I am looking for some advice. Should I replace it with stock? Or switch to electric? Cost is a concern. Any pros and cons you guys have would help me...
I did clean and put brake grease on both calipers. Both sides are dragging ,equally I think, as the truck doesn't pull to one side. That makes me think the calipers probably aren't sticking. Maybe I'll try replacing the rubber hoses, but it does seem unlikely that both sides would go bad at once.
My front brakes are dragging occasionally. Most of the time they're fine, but at times is like they don't totally release. They get hot and start grabbing and making the truck shake. It's happend a couple times and I slowed way down to limp the truck home. After a couple miles they release...
I contacted New Life Auto Trim and got was able to get some body moulding. It's not a perfect match, but it's very close. Good enough since I'm replacing it all. They were very helpful. A 20' roll was delivered to my door for $75. 00 including shipping and tax.
