The prices are comparable to the 47re and depends on how tough you want the 48re to be. He recomends the lower mileage you get the transmission to him... the better. If i moved to California I'd still hire him to upgrade.

I would check all fluid levels. After 100 miles I thought it would be a good idea and happened to find the crankcase was overfilled by about 2 quarts.
I was suprised and I hope there wasnt any damage; but I think being reduntant and checking may be a good idea. Good Luck.

Picked up my truck today and I feel like i'm on Crack. The truck feels great! It pulls like a train and runs like a sports car. I cannot get over the psychotic amount power this truck has now that it almost feels sinful. ITs the way this truck should have been built!!!

Looks great. One question though... Did you leave the stock Lift Pump on the engine? I suppose its possible to run it in conjuction with the Carter pump that you have pictured but why bother right... Thanks for sharing. Dan
