Thanks Ed. This cummins forum is interesting...and I can learn...As far as the truck.....Man is it a hoss! Drives great, stops great, and gets better mileage than anything I have pulled with.....I know opinions vary and enjoy the discussion...and plan to do some more research...I feel if most...
I don't use my truck in off road conditions...It isn't subjected to dust (at least not much) Each to his own...I use K&N filter # E-0787 on my 2011 dually 2wd....It is still clean and has only been in the truck about 7,xxx miles...My use and filtering are different than some on here...
As to the...
Interesting comments and analysis by both above...I am going to rethink my K&N opinion and I am going to talk to cummins...I have a good shop here and they are very versed on the "B" engine; to include the natural gas version..the comments on how it works (the K&N air filter) are exactly...
I bought my truck in Texas but live in Mo. The place here advertises K&N and states that it is against Federal Law for any manufacturer to void your warranty for using a K&N filter. However I will talk to cummins about it...this has got me to thinking...I have a cummins shop here and a Ram...

K & N is not an option? Not sure what you are referring to....it is the best filter out there....bar none....Fleetguard oil filters are good; on that I would agree...my mileage went up 1-2 mpg when I changed to the K&N...I know I read the stuff on Geno's on the K&N...after I had changed...
I have always learned more from what I did wrong than .....Oh well ; what he said above...Good experience doesn't come from bad judgment.....EVER! You have to get the wheels that fit your deal; always....disaster follows if you don't. Corvettes, Rams, Kenworths, etc...always get the right...
Glad to hear you are having a good experience...I have long heard Amsoil is one of the best producers of synthetics! Point is though the original trans fluid is not the best stuff to have in there...Do you have a way of cooling your trans fluid or do you have a gauge on it? Just curious? And...
Don't put a non hub centric wheel on a hub centric hub! Won't work and if it does (even with a spacer) it will be short lived at best and you won't like it when you have to change a wheel or worse; walk.....
I wanted to offer advice for the TDR, its members and any who use a manual trans for towing....I bought my truck in Texas outright (new in 2011) and only use it for towing; usually with a gooseneck and gross around 22,000 lbs plus. It is a dually 2wd with 3.73 rears, G56 6speed. I have driven...
