    Long trip fuel mileage

The 70/75 variation was due to the speed limit. I wasnt in a hurry and hadnt even planned on doing 75 when that was the limit but the truck didnt seem to mind. My 2001 really liked being in the 1750-1850rpm range for mileage. I was surprised to see that the 2015 liked being around 2100rpm (I...

    Long trip fuel mileage

On the highway was between 70 and 75. The stop and go really killed it. I Had about 1600 pounds between fuel, tanks, people, dogs and luggage.

    Long trip fuel mileage

Took a trip to Thousand Oaks CA from Las Cruces NM. First nice long trip I was able to do a lot of calculating. The lie-ometer was actually pretty accurate (overall). Leaving NM I started at about 13.2mpg and went up to 13.7 as I got close to AZ border. Once in AZ mileage steadily increased to...

    Then v Now

As a young man in Montana, I thought a rifle rack was standard equipment. They were in 8 out of 10 trucks.

Yep, USA borders have disappeared. Luckily this time they are freedom loving Patriots.

    Any edge guys here

I have an edge comp on my 2001.5, tap the stock air horn or as I did, bought an after market air horn that was pre tapped.

    “HellCat Hauler”

That can be changed with a tune, my CTS-V WAS limited to 175 with auto (193 for the manuals) dotted center line looks solid at that speed (heard it from a friend) Also sorry to hear of your mom passing.

    Then v Now

That video didnt show us jumping out of that swing at the top of the arch to see how far we could launch ourselves, riding in the bucket of the tractor or riding in the back of the pickup. Wish I had the endurance now that I had then riding my bike everywhere ALL day.

I like stacks on a truck, but...

John, you have a new truck on order?

I like stacks on a truck, but...

Saw a video on TikTok of him going down the road. I think those stacks use all of the payload capacity of that old truck, that trailer is killing it.

    Convince me Centramatic’s work

So I'm not claiming to be the balance expert. I called Centramatic and told them I had liquid balance I planned to put in my tire and asked if there would be any issue. They stated "a free balance agent inside the tire is THE ONLY balance that will not work with the centramatics". The beads or...

    Convince me Centramatic’s work

I dont know if you had them installed with the beads, but you cant have centramatics, balance beads or liquid balance at the same time.

    Convince me Centramatic’s work

Ran them on my 2001.5 with 19.5's for about 90,000 miles and 14ish years. Replaced them from age and sidewalls starting to crack, still had 60% tread probably. Moved them to my 2015 with 19.5's. Dont put a lot of miles on her but I will say the centramatics cut my random highway vibration by 90-95%.
