Had my truck in for a cel P2201 with 46000 miles. Replaced NOx sensor bank 1 under Emissions warranty. The one in front under the turbo. It lists for $592.00
Anyway they did a couple of TSB's, 18-054-1884 and 21-001-884. Can anyone tell me what these are?
Thanks!
My truck came with a red cap or plastic plug maybe a better description. Like mpaulson described, looks like something you would use on a hydraulic system as a temporary plug. I think any 1 1/2 diameter plug will do even a sink plug. Just something to keep debris out.
I just reviewed the plan details on the web site and I couldn't tell if the emissions system components were covered or not. I guess you could send an email and ask. I myself was also considering this extended warranty. For $2000.00 you can purchase a 8 year 120k plan for a 2014 3500 diesel 4x4...
CEL light just went out. I did notice that my air filter ducting was not connected. Must have not put it in right when I connected my Block Heater cord, had to remove the air filter duct. I guess any little thing will set these systems off.
But running good with 10.5mpg the last couple of days...
My 5th wheel weights about 13000 and I've been driving about 65-70. This truck pulls this weight like it's not even there. I'm going to try and wait until I get to Florida before I take it to a dealer if the code doesn't clear by then.
My truck has only 1200 miles and I got my first CEL. System says "no stored codes". Runs fine. Guess I'll have to stop at the nearest dealer.
I'm on my way to Florida and Texas, first trip with my 5th wheel. I did almost run out of DEF but made it to a Flying J and purchased 3 gallons for...
"Just make sure you have the dang magnet for the DEF nozzle to open the nozzle flap otherwise it will be spoonful and click, spoonful and click...." I've not purchased any DEF yet. What's with the magnet?
I just love my heated steering wheel and heated seats.
On my one trip with my 5th wheel to check things out I traveled about 200 miles round trip west over hwy 68 in western Maryland. Any one familiar with the route will know it is very hilly, 6 & 7% grades. I had the truck on cruise heading...
I pull about the same weight 5th wheel and recently purchased a 2014 3500. Very happy with the truck. I've only towed my 5th for a couple of hundred miles to check it out but it's almost as if the trailer is not their. I added the long side steps and I really like these to access the 5th wheel...
I ordered this wiring harness from etrailer.com "Hopkins Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring for the 2012 3500 by Ram" code number 41157. I just unplugged my rear 7-pin harness and plugged this into the existing wiring and ran the cable to the location I wanted in the bed, drilled a 2 1/8 inch hole and...
Since it has warmed up here in MD I couldn't resist taking my 5th wheel for a test run. I live in Emmitsburg, MD and drove up about 40 miles past Sideling Hill Rest Area on HWY 68 in western MD. The truck performed better that I thought it would going up the hills and down. Going up sideling...
