Hello all, I purchased a 2008 that was deleted in 2008 with a smarty. He put in the economy tune as it was a grocery getter. Then before I bought it the hand held was lost. He tried to get a new one but smarty won’t sell one for a deleted truck anymore. I use a truck like a truck and need to...
I was glad the local dealer took care of it without any hassles and my truck drives like new again. BUT at 31,000 miles it was a little disappointing to have to have this done. Just the passenger side ball joints had to be done. I assume its not a problem that will come up every 30K or that...
Me too. The Walmart stuff is a couple bucks cheaper for the 2.5 gallon and it makes a nice waste oil container when empty. I have been using that for the last 20K miles with no issue.
Be careful if you go to automatic car wash's (which I normally stay away from - long story on a guy who took his truck through right after someone with a fishing pole and a musky lure went through - you can guess) , the plastic plates may get yanked off by those "soft touch" bristles. I was...
dead pedal / dead issue ?
I wish there was more in this thread ; its just more if the same. I don't have the exact same issues as all but I have dead pedal about 50% of the time and really want it fixed. I am not fond of taking it in hoping the dealer will fix anything. I don't need more...
14,050 mi. Front filter was not white - closer to a heavy tea - very light coffee color.
Clearly I didn't get all the air out prior to starting. IT started right up after the change - but then the next two (very little run time between them) took a lot more starter before it ran. After a...
Well I held off until 1% to change my fuel filters. Two reasons really 1) get the most for my dollar , 2) laziness set in and I was putting it off. Now that I am done I look back and have to say reason 2 was pretty lame. I think it took all of 20 minutes to change both. I did things slightly...
How do you go about bumping the starter on a keyless system to prime the filters ? Or do you just hit the start and let it cycle through over and over until it starts ? Sorry task a dumb question, I am at 9% on my filter and by the weekend I will probably have to take care of it and want to be...
Well mostly because I do a few climbs on my daily drive from 6,000' to 9,000' and I promise you when I pull in my driveway the turbo is hot. I had gauges on my last truck and it would take nearly 10 minutes to cool down. This is my daily drive I don't really need to get out of my truck every day...
That truck looks awesome ! I am jealous looking at my stock truck. Your lift, wheels, and tires are a perfect match !
Nice job, thank you for the post.
I can seem to figure out if its me or the truck- more then likely me. My fob wont shut the truck off. I try the same procedure as starting but if I pull in after a drive get out and let the truck cool, I can not get the fob to shut it down, I have to walk out and do it as normal. Not a big deal...
I guess I am a little confused, I read that Valvoline was what was recommended . Now that you raised my eyebrow I searched I see many people running rotella and rotella t6 ? Maybe sticking with Amsoil is not such a bad idea ? I stopped at autozone tonight and they looked it up and it gave them...
