I actually tow very little with this truck i live on a farm and we have 3 other 1ton trucks so its not really an issue. I appreciate the info i just hope this charger will last till i can get a good replacement or better yet, twins.
Has anyone tried the ATS aurora series? Ihave seen some claims on the 5000 saying it has decent spool up but thats a pretty big charger. just looking for something that can take the abuse of some pretty ignorant street driving. Maybe the phat shaft 64(?) if you say the 66 was too big.
Im going to put it on the dyno in sep. at scheids extravaganza so i will knowfor sure. But i just got truck back together from head gasket failure and thats when the new injectors went in. Its a completly new truck but way too much fueling for stock charger so i believe im running on borrowed...
When i was trying to set the timing on my truck i called scheid for some questions i had about the dial indicator and they told me they only used a light. You could give them a call talk to Brad (217) 536-5200 im sure they would tell you what they use.
Actually im not sure about the horsepower. My mods are in my sig. If your not familiar with the injectors Scheid told me they are good for 150 hp when used with the laser cut Delivery Valves. Maybe someone could tell me What im close to? I was hoping to get 400 but not sure.

Any ideas for what turbo to use? i had a phat shaft 64 on another truck and was dissapointed with its slow spoolup. this truck is my daily driver maybe i should just save for twins?
I am a new member and i have a 98 12v and a buddy of mine has an 03 common rail. My question is can we swap turbos i have the stock hx35 and he has a phatshaft 66 (on the truck when he bought it and its a little big for him). Both trucks have 5" exhaust. So am i correct in thinking that we can...
