We have relied on a Garmin "Truckers" GPS when towing our 40' 5th wheels for almost 10 years now. Never had a problem with a low bridge or weights. Actually tested it without the trailer on a road with an 11' bridge. Got a big red warning stating we were on a restricted road. The truckers Garmin...
A lot of the Fed, State, and Local parks now list relatively accurate descriptions of RV sites including length. They also show pictures of the site. That along with the Satellite View to show us the site and the road going to it is great We have had our 40' 5th wheel in parks we would not have...
With the Aisin you are gaining a true truck transmission. We have had both transmissions. The 68RFE did perfectly fine, but the Aisin just moved the load more easily due to its gearing as previously said. I think they both shifted equally well, but maybe the Aisin is a little firmer.

I think the maintenance cost for a MH will be more just because you are maintaining a second engine. We looked at...
OK Now that we all have had Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner....how about dessert? We have traveled all over the US, and found that no one knows what a Peanut Donut is! I guess it is a delicacy of Western NY state because that is the one place they have them plentiful! Here's some pics to whet...
Sorry to question your comments, but we are full-timers, know a lot of full-timers, and are on a few full-timer forums. There is not much evidence out there to substantiate the comment “Every other system out there if used for full time will fall apart” if properly loaded. Many do not weigh...
The wiring in our Ambition's Generator Bay and Battery Compartment is all run through wire loom and secured. No areas that I could see that would be easily damaged. Regarding frames, I think almost all are now made by Lippert. I think Northwoods still makes their own. Lifestyle (Carriage) did...
