On the 2014 Ram 3500, it looks like the outside temperature sensor is in the driver's side trailer mirror. Ours started to show readings as low as -40C when it was +10C outside. I'll be taking it in to get fixed but I'm wondering if the diesel fuel or DEF tank heaters rely on this reading. Can't...
This is on our 7 page build sheet for our 2014 Ram 3500:
Equipment Listing
VIN 3C63R2DLXEG281298
Vehicle Description 2014 RAM 3500 SLT 4X2
6,000# Front Axle
I don't know about all the front end hardware around the axle, but the axle itself does look heavy duty.
We have the SLT so probably no auto high beam even though the mirror has the big box behind it and what appears to be the sensor lens on the back of the mirror.
We have a 2014 with the Uconnect 5 and the EVIC. The rear view mirror is auto dimming and there is a position on the head light control for automatic but when I turn on the high beams, they don't dim when there's on coming traffic. Is there a setting in the Uconnect 5 or the EVIC that has to be...
A friend just sent me a link to a blog from someone that bought a new Ram and determined there was a problem with the integrated trailer brake. Wondering if anyone else has come across this. With the trailer hooked up but no brakes applied, he could hear a hum coming from the brake controller...
From the majority of posts I've read, the vast majority are very happy with the 68RFE. There's some thought that if it has a problem, there will be more expertise and parts available at dealerships since it's much more common than the Aisin but so far I haven't read of any failures. Having said...
Same here John. I removed my TST from the '04 Ram since I'll be selling it. Being able to set high and low pressure warnings and get an alarm is what TPMS is all about. We have them on our fiver as well. I probably won't leave the EVIC on tire pressure and it would have been nice to get a low...
John. We have a 3500 on order. I've been reading about the TPMS indicating low pressure on the EVIC if the tires aren't close to specs shown on the door pillar. We'd like to run similar to your setup. Is the display warning not a problem?
Thanks
