Hard 2-1 downshift after band adjustment

TV cable was fine, but broke the darn plastic clip removing it. Any ideas on a part number for this puppy? Trans still downshifts hard, but only at slow speeds....sure wish it would stop but I guess it will have to wait; I have a trip to Florida coming next week. Thanks for your input cerb :)

Hard 2-1 downshift after band adjustment

Preparing for a trip I needed to perform some preventive Mx on my 48RE. So I adjusted the forward and rear bands on and replaced the governor transducer and solenoid; everything runs fine but now the truck downshifts hard from second gear to first gear when it hits around 10-15 miles an hour. I...

The Search for the Best Serpentine Belt

I love me some Goodyear! But gates sold me on their testing. Might have gone Goodyears way if they had similar details.

The Search for the Best Serpentine Belt

There was a lot out there, but nobody had anything on Gates Micro-V Fleet Runner Green Stripe Belt. It has extensive literature, research, and trials in a fleet operation. See this link: http://www.gates.com/brochure.cfm?brochure=2690&location_id=2743 Problem I had was finding where to buy...

The Search for the Best Serpentine Belt

I replaced this belt on the 31st of January 2012; along with a new tensioner, idler pulley, and water pump. I would have figured that this belt would have lasted more than 2 years and 15K miles. I put the original MOPAR belt back on until I could do some research (it is ten years old and still...

Nitto Dura Grappler's good as Michelin?

I came off of a set of 265/70R17 LTX's and went to the very tire you stated here. Good set up, and wear very well. The size looks right for the truck also, very happy with my purchase. Also, no noticeable difference in towing performance either. Take care! Dave

    K&N Air filter

Folks, TDR Issue 56 and 59 covered a very detailed test on the subject of air intake systems. Given the heated debate anyone wanting to improve airflow would learn ALOT from this data. As far as filtration goes…well I'm no expert so I'll stick with what the OEM engineers deduced over a decade...

    48RE Question concerning Exhaust Brakes

As I have read from Pack Brake, Banks Brake, BD Diesel, and ATS Diesel; I must have a TC lock up kit for an exhaust brake to work on my 2004. Ok, so my TC needs to stay locked up to keep the engine and drive train connected for maximum effectiveness of the exhaust brake system, I get that part...

    One Piece Drive Shaft

So I’m due to R2 the two piece junk shaft on my 04 and reading the plethora of entries on various forums I finally called Dave at dodgetruckparts.net and gave him the suggested part number (52123220AB). After researching my VIN he said per the Mopar/Dodge part gods my application would be part...

    ABS pump won't stop running

Brian, My abs control module did the exact same thing. Go to myairbags.com and get the info you need. They rebuilt my module while still being able to drive the truck, speedo was inop but GPS aided in that. They fixed my module and had it back to me in three days, cost 50 bucks or so. They have...
