all clips went in after removing plastic plugs under needle bearing cap

has anyone else had a problem with the plastic plugs that are under the needle bearing cap.the worn out set had these and one gallery would not get grease,two needle bearing sets one in each joint was rusty.also i could not compress the needle bearing caps enough to get the second half moon clip...
