The ground side of the governor pressure solenoid is Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) to regulate the current through the solenoid. It is not simply grounded like the other two. The more current through the solenoid, the more it closes. 4.2 ohms is just about right.
If the check valve is plugged with debris, then removing it works just fine. You might see your converter drain back in a shorter period of time, but that's not the end of the world. But if your check valve is not plugged, I would not lose any sleep over leaving it in there. The passages in the...
