Archived No running lights 2006 ram 1500

I need help. Working on a 2006 ram 1500 4x4. It does not have running lights/parking lights on the left side. Neither front or rear. All fuses check good. The light switch and CB in the rear have been replaced. Is this a harness issue? Is it a computer issue?

    48 RE Transmission No Reverse

No reverse usually is a rear band not applying issue. Can be an OD clutch issue. No neutral is usually a rear clutch too tight/damage. Do a pressure test and get back to us.

Teach me about cordless ratchet wrenches

I have a Dewalt impact 18 volt. It has about 1/2 the power of a friends Makita that is about 1/2 the size. Dewalt says it has 330 ft. lbs. I'm sure I haven't seen but 100 from it. Last Dewalt I ever buy. The Makita has twisted off wheel studs on his ford!!!!!

Does anyone use Shaeffer 5w-40 Diesel Oil? Your thoughts?

I have run Schaeffers oils for years. There is nothing better. Comparing it to Amsoil wil start arguments, But Schaeffers will only cost about half as much. Go to thier site, then call them to get to a rep

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 1997 upgrades for towing

50-60 mph is a bad speed range for the auto trans. Not enough rpm for OD and too much for 3rd. Try it at 65-70. Mine does much better, same EGT. But I m running more fuel and air I am using a super B Most likely there are better towing turbos now. Also make sure the radiator is clean.

    3.54s to 3.92 or 4.10s

Also, what gear is it in when it over heats? Is it in lock up? Trans can add a lot of heat when unlocked and it is floored. I also believe you found the issue with the bad water pump.

    What's in your Cheerios?

Other countries and the state of Hawaii consider the lower 48 here as " The great Guinea Pig society." Why do the planners think we need to modify food ? To grow more, make more $$$ Are they making safe food? I doubt it since they get to test it and write the reports. 40+ years ago when I was...

    Archived 1998 diesel

I have seen NEW electric lift pumps fail or be bad right out of the box. Check the pressure.

Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Best way to prevent pump issues for a 1800 mi trip.

Check the fuel pressure. If it is ok 5-8 psi minimum, put in a new filter. Then put an ice bad against the VP and drive it home. Heat kills the VP-44 as often as the low fuel pressure does.

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Trans mission acting odd

Check your battery grounds. Then if it still does it search for electrical noise from the alternator. A electrical filter fixes almost all of them doing this.

    Engine run away HELP PLEASE

Define 'runaway' more. Is it reving to the moon, or is it redlining like it is governed? Big differences. If it goes way higher than the rev limit it is fueled by an outside source, like fuel/oil in the intake, or propane leak by a nearby source. If it revs to 4,000 by itself it is electronic...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Turbo issues

I would remove the actuator and check the wastegate can pivot freely.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Transmission 2nd opinion rebuild

Did they do a pressure test on it? Especially look at the gov. pressure. Most of the time this issue is either Gov pressure transducer or solenoid.

    Box Unlevel Side To Side

I normally find a broken spring when the bed is not level. This broken spring can be found on the higher side.
