    Block numbers

    Yes, I was checking to make sure it didn't have a "53" block before I bought it. BUt couldn't find any numbers where the series numbers usually are. The newer one next to it, had a "56" on it, but this one had nothing.

    Went to buy an 01 quadcab today, got underneath to see which block it had and to my surprise no numbers on either side. Anyone have any ideas why?

    When they went belly up, I was in Kentucky and NAPA didn't have that big a battery, they sent me to the O"Rielly's down the street, and I can't remember the brand, it was whatever they keep in stock. But they looked identical to stock ones except for the name stamped on them.

    I gave $125 @ for same batteries at O'rielly Auto, case dimensions were the same, and specs the same, and didn't realize mine had slowed down until I touched the key with the new ones.

    Thanks for the info, and no I am not a gambling man, if any bad can happen it happens to me. Even when I do all the recommended service and others do none, I still am the one who has all the problems. Thanks again

    Were the 02's as prone to dowel pins problems as some of the earlier models and how many miles does it take for it show up?
