IMPO, diesel fuel might have the same source (note the "might), but that does not mean equal quality. Diesel fuel quality is really dependent on many things other than source, particularly how old it is. My 2015 manual does not recommend any additives, though it does recommend a good source for...
From what I found, this isn't California legal.
On another note, I can't imagine going 110 in this state! (I don't think we have any speed limit over 70, not to say that I don't ever go over that.) I would too let the "Ferd" get the ticket. Man the speeding tickets have gone over the top in...
Since the official manual does not say that it must be dealer done, and they indicate oils that the dealers do not use, I would think they would have a tough time denying a warrantee because the dealer did not do the oil change. I agree that the burdon of proof would be on the dealer that a...
I bought a new 2015 SLT in Oregon when my California 2003 cummins (yes, the engine itself) bit the dust. The Oregon dealer did use my zip in California to figure everything, and they sent the extra money they collected for sales tax and title to my local DMV. The problem I had is when I got back...
I'm from California, and we have Lithia dealers locally, but they are not Dodge/Ram dealers. Anyway, my 2003 broke down in oregon, and after looking all over the state, it turned out that a Lithia dealer in Eugene had the best deal. I was already looking in California, and the deal I got from...
It is tough to know what the rattle is without hearing it. I drive my 2015 in Tow Haul mode all of the time, and that makes the truck shift at higher RPMs. I also think my shifts sooner when it isn't on, but that seems to depend on how steady the foot is on the throttle. I had a 2003, but it is...
I never activated my Unconnect and I don't have remote start. If it isn't even activated, can the hack still be done? I got the update in the mail too, but I was just wondering whether I really needed it. Also, the instructions say to idle the truck for the half hour or so that it takes, which...
I bought a 3500 SLT when we were ready to by a 2500 Tradesman. I'm glad I bought the 3500, though it does have the 68rhe and 3:42 differential. It tows our 33 foot 5th-wheel very well. The ride is about equivalent, or maybe even slightly better, than the 2003 2500 that I upgraded from.
I'm no expert, but I've heard of a few problems trying to pull fuel through the oem intank pumps. The dealer put one of those on mine and I quickly bought a FASS and a pickup tube kit. I've heard of the horror stories of dropping the tank and cutting a hole, but it really didn't seem that...
