have just instaled a new water pump on my 2003 5.9. My question is how do I get the required amount of coolant in the cooling system? The only way I can think of is to remove the inlet elbow which I assume houses the thermostat and pour the coolant directly into the passage below the thermostat, is that the approved way or is there an easier way like running the engine till the thermostat opens on its own or wopuld that be bad for the engine? Please someone let me know the approved method, THANKS
