I have been having this and similar trouble for a FEW YEARS now. No one has been able to diagnose the issue.
It has progressivly gotten worse. Some trips i can go 3 hours with no hickups and others I can go 50 miles. At times it has shut off momentarilly and others it is just like a head wind...
Well we will see what Cummins says about it.
The place I am working at deals with a Cummins dealership in Jeffersontown Kentucky.
After this thread and the guys from the dealership I let Them talk me into letting the dealership look into the problem. (everything pointed to the posibility of...
1 There are no trouble codes and no light. I think I did the trouble code check correctly.
2 I get lift pumps for 125$ and I bought 2 the last time so it was easy to check the pump this time. The best price on a good gage was about that and higher.
3 I never would have thought of the tank...

I just replaced the Fuel Filter and the air Filter about 1k miles earlier while having the issue with no effect.
I have an empty bed, nothing in tow.
Boost is right around 10 while at 70mph. usually just under.
Yes it was the selector on the shifter that I used.
I put a new...
Hi All.
This is one of those problems that are hard to do a thread search on. Redirects are welcome.
I have a 1999 2wd drw 3500 Ram. It has had 4 Fuel pumps and 1 injector pump.
Since my trouble began I have replaced a fuel pump and the boost sensor in the head.
While driving on the...
Bob,
I didn't say i was sending any money out. And yes If I were buyin the unit from anyone I would also ask for a HUGE amount of proof. What i meant to say was I did not need proof that HHO works.
Sorry for the mis-statement on my part.
Correct me if I' wrong Gary, but I think you are just trying to get people to show a little support for fellow Cummins owners and stop talking negative about something they haven't tried, or been succesful at, because it discourages the ones who want to try HHO and discuss how to do it on a site...
But Gary I AM Shade Tree. :)
I'm Running this stuff and it works great on my Gasser. When I get a good setup for my electrodes I have a 4" Stainless enclosure to put it in. Plastic blowup is much safer at this point. :)
Bob,
Don't buy the books. Google Hydrogen generator or HHO Forums. They have free plans and free info out there. And they are running them on Gassers and Diesels. They can even direct you to fully assembled units. The ones Eric's working with look to be setup and priced well. Just want to see...
The "Death Wobble" is very scarry! We have a set of RR tracks near that every time I had something fixed in the front end we tested it and it happened again.
No one could find anything wrong.
Many different shops later I had someone change the ball joints and it went away for the rest of the...
I went to the site where you got the unit. It looks like a good unit at a real good price.
I am working on my own and once I get up to 6 Liters per minute output I'll try it on my 3500 Ram.
I think your right about the water, as far as I know the hydro is just causing a better burn and...
Hydro
EricBu12 Have you had to do anything with the intake heaters or any other special mods?
Where do you introduce the Hydo at?
I've been working on my gassers so far but hesitant on my Ram.
Have you addressed Hydogen Embritlement yet?
It would be even better at 50mpg :)
If...
