    Continuing Headlight Moisture Problem

LOL, agree but even though it should be easier, we've (my wife and I) gotten it down to 20 minutes or less to R&R the headlight.

    Continuing Headlight Moisture Problem

Well, the turn / park LED's in my replacement drivers side headlight finally completely died last week. This is the one I bought just a little over a year ago for my broken, bird strike headlight. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FHZDL8U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I...

    Active Airbox Service Required?

Amazing picture. Thanks. How did you get such a great picture? Is that from the trap door or with the liner removed? I'm 99% sure that my `14 has the "dryer vent" paper/ fabric extension hose. If I can cut the extension crap from the trap door, well I'll get the granddaughter to do it, THAT...

    Active Airbox Service Required?

Thanks for confirming that info. Going to check mine as soon as the weather clears up.. He didn't happen to mention if there is any way to cut the flex tube without taking everything apart did he? :-)

    AlphaOBD

Looking at new "toys" and ran across this software. Anyone here ever play with it? Thoughts? Easy way to the the truck PIN number? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.AlfaOBD.AlfaOBD&hl=en Thanks in advance.

    Active Airbox Service Required?

From what I've read, this seems to be a common issue with the hose either getting clogged or sucked shut. The collision part is just a comment on this particular truck.

    Active Airbox Service Required?

Google "Active Airbox Service Required" and on YouTube the Motorcity Mechanic has a good vidio on this. From what I've read and watch (Youtube), this message is mostly caused by the flex tube (looks like a dryer vent hose) the runs from the intake box out to the fenderwell. The message starts...

    Continuing Headlight Moisture Problem

Now I read this. Weather finally got nice enough to remove my drives side light and believe it or not, I damned near filled a red solo cup with water from my housing! WTF?!?!? Dried it out all nice and clean, reinstalled, checked breather holes, thought I was in great shape,,,, until the rain...

    New Recall V06

Hell, I couldn't even get my dealer to replace / install the rear center seat belt mechanism that, at the time, I had proof that THEY had cut. I know if kids are in back I need all three belts but I'll be damned if I pay what they want for this entire mechanism.. Yea, said it before, my dealer...

Safe to idle for 15-20 minutes at a time?

Figured that with Cummins. Every now and then a person actually catches a tech, engineer or other tech type that will off the record give a straight up answer. Doesn't happen often but it still happens on occasion. Looking at some of the provided links, it's nice to see Okla doesn't have a...

Safe to idle for 15-20 minutes at a time?

I've been asking this same question for almost 2 1/2 years now with no real set answer. I'll leave mine running, high idle, when I have to leave someone in the truck when I go into the store. Usually no more than 15 - 20 minutes. Mechanics I know tell me "You see semi's setting all night...

Dealer Def $4.99 per 2.5 gallons.

When I need to top off my DEF I go to Love's Truck Stop. DEF at the pump, $2.79(?) a gallon. You have to pump V E R Y slowly but it's worth it. Their 2.5 gallon jugs are $15 and up. Why??? With their high turn over their DEF is appears to always be fresh so I figure can't beat that price.

Loves Truck Stop - Pump DEF

Been using Love's DEF at the pump for two years now with no problems. I read some posts here and when people say PUMP S L O W L Y,,, they really mean it. Once I got used to that I have not had any problems or splash back. Paying $2.70 / gallon at the pump sure beats paying $12.50+ for a 2.5...
