Can anyone tell me where the (4X4 transfer case selector switch) is located ? My 4X4 indicator light on the dash is intermitent when in 4 wheel drive and I want to find the switch to see if it is loose! Thanks!

I Should have asked first but was not even thinkin 130. 00 I think ill call the smog people and report this guy! $45 sounds at least reasonable for what little they do! I definetley will shop around next time if I dont reg it in Oregon.

JJ Thanks again for the easy test. The exhaust manifold leak was the cause of the squealing noise ! Sure sounded like a belt tensioner or intercooler leak. I had a manifold leak in my previous cummins but it sounded just like a manifold leak not a belt squeal. Anyone reading this thread keep...

JJ, The test worked just fine! No leaks found! I did discover a small exhaust leak as I spotted a faint spot of carbon deposit on the manifold. I suspect this to be the cause of the noise. I'll let you know if it goes away after the gasket replacement. Thanks again.

Check for intercooler or piping leak! I got an easy test set up from JJPage. You can read it on my Boost leak test thread. Give it a try as this seems to fit my scenerio.

Noise under load I have been getting a squeeling noise when under load. I think its the tension pulley! Went to the shop and told them, they said it is the turbo then changed thier mind and agreed probably tension pulley. They are getting the part and will call when they get it. 2007 heavy duty...
