    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Help! Cruise is dead and i cant fix it!

    That's the differential speed sensor I think. I have 2 12 valvers, a 94 and a 97. On my 94 I noticed the cable was shredded near the differential end . The speedometer worked, the cruise didn't.     Howard's post is dead on. Also, my lockups were intermittent and sloppy until I replaced the two solenoids and the differential sensor and now the shift to lockup is a reassuring solid clunk and mpg went from 16 to 20. 1994 2500 4X4 200K

    I guess I have to put in my 2 cents to think about synthetic oil. Where I live(jackson WYO) it's essential. We have synthetic in all our vehicles in engines, difs, and TCs(Dodge Dump trk), JD Backhoe, Chev suburban, 2 mercedes diesels and 94 and 97 & 01 4X4 Dodge Cummins. When it hit -48 one...
