    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Help CA smog check A0382 and Edge Comp!!

I really need help with the 0382 code. can I buy this relay somewhere cheap and easy? I checked Geno's and didn't find it. If I disconnect the comp I get a MAP code so I ordered that from Geno's, way cheaper than the local Napa.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Help CA smog check A0382 and Edge Comp!!

I cleared the codes with a normal code reader. They said you have to go 50 miles for the ECM to run a self diagnostic. Does the smarty trick this so they don't know I just cleared the codes around the block? If so I'll buy one ASAP!!! Now I'm throwing all kinds of codes 1694, 1698, 0382. I'm...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Help CA smog check A0382 and Edge Comp!!

PS I can clear the codes prior to getting the smog checked but if I haven't gone 50 miles they know and fail me, can't go 50 without throwing the code.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Help CA smog check A0382 and Edge Comp!!

So I have a A0382 Code that I can't get rid of and my old 2001 can't pass the newly required CA smog check. Easy Relay fix or removal that won't throw codes? I actually still have my heater not a spacer, should I try bypassing it? The other problem is my Edge Comp, does anyone know if this...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Help in Oklahoma City

This is an old post so I don't know if you are still in the TDR, but I grew up in Moscow, ID. and had to comment on someone from Meridian. I now own two ferds and my old dodge 2001 and a new one 2011. Inherited the Ferds when I bought a company out, boy do I wish he was into dodge. I've had all...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Installed new Borgeson steering box

There is another thread here somewhere about this box, check my posts. I had the same problem, others have not. Not sure what the deal is, why some work and others don't. I cut off the tab off the BD support and welded it on 7/16 from it's original location, all perfectly centered now. I also...

Archived DTC - Low voltage detected at the fuel lift pump

what code # is that? Check your ground connections, battery cables, plug at lift pump, etc... how many miles on your truck, is it the stock lift pump? once that is done loosen up the banjo on the output side of your filter, assuming stock, see if you are getting fuel. I wouldn't recommend...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 94-01 Steering Wandering Count!!

No loose steering? If you have a 4x4 and don't have steering wander you must be very nice to your truck. Those stock parts just don't hold up to lots of washboard roads, bouncing over boulders or bumping into anything.

yes the ugly joystick is the same on all those models. Can't remember when that went away but if it is a joystick it will work.

    exhaust and turbo wrap?

It is wired on, if you are a shade tree mechanic then you can probably do it yourself. I think some mechanics would look at it and tell you "have it taken off then I'll do the work".

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission control arm installation help

I've done this recently, I get the top arm in place and put in one bolt, if the other lines up great, if not leave it. Then work on the bottom one, set the back bolt, the lower front has more flexibility due to the alignment adjustment, I set the frame on a jack stand and use the floor jack to...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission control arm installation help

I'm probably really late on this but you need to make sure you are loosening the nut only. Loosening the bolt tries to adjust your alignment, which can't happen until you loosen the nut on the inside.

    Great Smoke Stories!

I have two. I live in West Los Angeles, the home of the Prius. Most the time I keep the smoke turned down on my comp because I get tired of getting flipped off. While driving on a two lane divided street a while back a vw bug, yellow with a flower in the flower holder and a guy driving, made a...
