sounds like your wastegate could be sticking slightly open. Ether way, sounds like you need more air or water/meth, IMO.

I have the mopar one on my 05. It works great, I only drive about 5 miles to work each day (yes I know, bad for a diesel) but it gets the truck all the way up to full operating temp within the first 3, especially if I put it on high idle for 5 minutes or so before leaving. This is all in the 30*...

Its kind of a complex job for a first timer. Your best bet is to make friends with a local TDR member with a timing set, and offer to buy him a couple six packs to come show you how to set the timing. :-laf

Hey there, Unless you have a California model, your 03 shouldn't have a cat. However, if it does, it should be good for much longer than 100k, especially with a stock truck.

I ran 15w40 Mobil Delvac in my 12 valve in all weathers. Never had a problem with it as low as -5* unpluged starts. It always seemed to turn over fine and get oil pressure fairly quickly.

To get rid of them unit bearing junks.
