I just got the dreaded "DEF Service required; see dealer." Tried fresh DEF and resetting codes but no joy; countdown continues. I have had trucks at 2 local dealers in the past and they proved to be more inept than could be tolerated. I don't mind paying for repairs but I don't care for the "Ram...
Looking for a wiring diagram to do some troubleshooting. My trailer lights are not getting power to the receptacle. I know there are fuses for the receptacle but the legend in the fuse panel lid is illegible. If I can get a circuit diagram and fuse box layout, I can do a little sleuthing. I...
Went to see the truck. Did not have the Aisin transmission and fell short in a few other ares as well, not to mention that they felt like it was the best used truck, EVER.
Thanks for the info,
Jim
2012 2500, 4wd, disc brakes at all corners, w/39000 miles. Never been impressed with the brake performance of this one. Got some squeal so I assumed it was time for new pads. When I raised the front end, I discovered that I couldn't turn either wheel. Pads gone and 1 rotor. Has anyone Got any...
We get some snow but not enough to cause a lot of grief. What we do get (at least around my place) is mud. I live on an old clay mountain and the spring rains bring sticky, sloppy mud. The "normal" boards have a filler plate between the board step and the body which eliminates a lot of mud...
Well said. My only complaint really is that I see no value added to the new setup. My older version in the 03 did all the things the new one seems to do and was less complex in the bargain. I'm a techie at heart and I love gizmos but when a gizmo makes life tougher and not easier, I'm done.

HBarlow ~ My '03 had the security key with the chip but it was pretty similar to a "regular key with a slightly bigger end. The lock fob was separate and that allowed me to start the truck to warm it and take the fob with me to lock the doors. The new "improved" ignition device is a fob roughly...
Am I the only one who's really disappointed with the Playskool ignition key/fob. The big clunky thing feels like carrying around a golf ball in your pocket. Sometimes it gets stuck and I have to pull really hard to get it out and the next couple of times I start it, I don't need the key. Has...
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I like the ones dullpain has on his ride. Those were pretty close to the ones I had on my 03 and I particularly like the semi-skirt mudflaps that are at either end. Living at the end of a 1/4 mile muddy driveway, those things keep a lot of scrunge off the side. I...
Just picked up my truck and wanted to get boards like the ones on my old one. Looking for regular running boards, crew cab, long bed but having little luck. Anybody got suggestions?
