Ok took it to the dodge dealer... . $2098 later... same issue. They put in a BRAND NEW ECM, BRAND NEW VP44. Checked all wiring. Same issue as when i brought it in P1690-FUEL INJECTION PUMP CKP SENSOR DOES NOT AGREE WITH ECM CKP SENSOR

Sending mine in for a 3rd time, i did the same and told them to send me a different ECM. Sure hope its that easy! Was your truck missing at idle with the bad ecms?
Checked alternator wires, separated them, took them off cleaned the connections. Got another ecm from ACE and it still does the exact same thing. Any other ideas? Im going to take it back to the shop tomorrow.

Been having problems with my truck throwing the 1690 code and missing at idle. I took it to a shop and they told me i had a bad ecm. So i got a computer from Auto Computer Exchange. Disconnected batteries for 2 hours, took old ecm out put new one in. Cleared the codes with my scanner, started it...
Took it in to a local diesel mechanic and he said its a bad ecm. His computer will not even talk to the ecm and said he has had this problem before and ecm fixed it. My question is, where is a good place to get a ecm besides the dealer? I see em on ebay for $600 but read a few other forums where...

LVJUNIOR: have you tried cracking the injector lines to see which cylinder your knock is coming from? I ordered injectors and should have em here tuesday, sure hope we can get our issues fixed. Mine has not gotten any worse after driving 3000 miles. I can still hear it all the time but it stays...
