    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Cracked Block

    Anybody heard of bad blocks in 99's. Mine's cracked passenger side near trannie cooler. Have been told it's a manufacturing defect but I don't know. Just bought the truck before christmas. I have warrenty with it.

    Thanx Thanks for all the two cents. I'm in Ontario and can't find anybody who knows about such things so all the advice I can get will help me make an informed decision. ;)

    Have 99 2500 with automatic. Want to do some upgrades for power and mileage. Saw that Banks power has kits already put together (exhaust, air, etc) just wondering if this is good way to go.
