seafish, I bought the truck used. When i bought it I got an 100,000 mile 3 year warranty. It covers engine, transmission, and transfer case. Paid for all of these repairs out of pocket. when the transmission goes i'll see if the warranty is for real!

Fixed it. All three U joints, New rear rotors, rear pads, emergency brake shoes, new rear bearings and seals. Got the U joints with the zerk fittings. Everything alright except sounds like a bearing in the transmission is heading south. Good thing I bought an extended warranty when I got the truck.

I installed them a couple of months ago. I haven't really noticed much of a mileage gain. But I have gained a lot in peace of mind. Now at least I can service the bearings, and if anything does go wrong, I can get the races or bearings at any parts store.
