Update:
The noise is still present and it is my belief that it is coming from the transfercase. Any help pointing me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated. I changed the hub bearings and u joints in the front axle. I changed all the u joints in the drive shafts with the exception...
So my front end was making a growling sound. Transfer case was low so I topped it off. was told it was probably wheel hub/bearings. just changed them out tonight along with the front u-joints. Took it for a test drive and there is the growling noise again! :{ God what a disheartening feeling...
I will check for water in the fuel. The one thing that i did not mention is that I had added some Valvoline diesel treatment during my fill up. since the initial symptoms/trouble codes appeared I have run two tankfuls of diesel. hopefully it was just a bad batch. thanks for the reply
A few days ago my truck threw a check engine light and the following codes - P0300, P0303, and P0305. I checked and confirmed it was multiple cylinder misfire and that it was cylinder 3 and 5. The check engine light disappeared and has not returned. I have never had those codes put up and was...
 I had a set of those on my 97 3/4 ton Dodge with a 360. I lost the front passenger tire and the rim grinded/shattered when it hit the asphalt at about 65-70 mph. Ever since then I have stayed clear of cast aluminum wheels. I even swapped out the cast stock wheels on 03 diesel with the...
he had the switch mounted in an RV. he used the toggle switch to monitor the house batteries and the rv batteries... . which were not connected. I wanted to see if i could do the same with the differential temp gauge... . be able to use on gauge to montior front and back.
My old boss used to have an autometer volt meter connected to a small toggle switch so that he could monitor two separate batteries. I was think about doing this not only with a volt meter too. Does anyone know how to wire it?
Thanks
I had to replace some sensors. particularly the fuel pressure sensor. dodge wanted 600 bucks! Thanks to TDR i found a place selling exact cummins part for a third of the price!
well i just relpaced my MAP sensor and the mechanic told me i need a fuel pressure sensor. He said dodge wanted 600 bucks for it. i found the same cummins part for a third of that. I just wanted to have the cummins numbers for my truck on hand in case i need to search for another part in the future.
I was wondering if any knew of a website that provided the part numbers for cummins parts instead of Mopar? I have a 2003 truck and would like to be able to have it as a reference in case i need engine parts.
