Thanks buddy! This weekend was the last trip, it sure has been a lot of fun and I've learned A LOT. This is really hard for me to do, on to a new chapter in life though. Hopefully she goes to a good home:)
Aaaaahhhhhhhhh that was me haha! Man i was drooling over your suspension for an hour! I would've have waited around if i would have known who it was. We just popped in for the night, hanging out in Truckee at the in-laws for the weekend. Really love your setup man.
Hi Jack,
I used ACC carpet and it was great quality but i felt it was a little lacking in the "fit" department. You'll have to cut out for the shifter(s) if applicable. The biggest thing i didn't like was it was about 6 inches short towards the back of the cab. Great quality, just for the money...
Fairly common problem on the 06. New cluster is in order. There's some good reading here on the subject. Start with the simplest, cheapest stuff first though.
Got the new clutch put in today and the noise is gone. It's back to driving better than new, and i can rest a little easier now knowing that the truck itself is fine. I don't know what was causing the noise but i'm shipping it back to SBC for them to have a look at it. Thank you everybody for...
Not as of yet, that's first on my list Monday. I'm going to measure them this weekend and send them some pictures if i can. I'm hoping they're willing to work with me on this. I've been putting it off because i've been driving it every day.
Hey everybody, thanks for the help! Took her to the local electrical guru, replaced a fusible link and cleaned up A LOT of the wiring bumper to bumper. They did in a day what would have taken me a week to do. New license plate lights as well as new trailer wiring. Turned out great, now back to...
Couldn't agree more! especially with our new "cap and screw" policy taking effect. All the productive people are leaving in droves, pretty soon all that will be left is "occupiers". It is sad for that truck though, that's just down the road from me and i'd love to take it with me. I love the...
Thanks for the help guys, i'll start with those links. I'm a total greenhorn when it comes to electrical troubleshooting but I do have a buddy to help out. It's just down the road from where I work so i'll shoot over there on lunch. Hypothetically speaking, how hard would it be to relocate the...
Well i was pulling into a parking spot today and the fuse block had some how come in contact with my foot when i was pressing on the brake. The truck stumbled a bit, and like an idiot, i tried to push the block back up under the dash. The truck died and never would restart. I had noticed the...
Thank you very much Harvey. I went to the records office yesterday and got copies of all my medical records. I'm meeting with the VA representative next week to go over my case. Hopefully they'll find a job I can do and i'll get to stay in, but with 3 wars already going and one more just...
Got off the phone with Peter, they're sending out the 1947-OK, I'm sending back the DD3250 for them to look at. I can't sell the truck the way it is so it's a neccessary evil i suppose. Scheduled to be put in first week of November. We'll see how that goes.
You hit the nail on the head...
Yes it definitely would be cheaper, wiser too i'm sure. There's a lot more back story right now though too. I going through the medical board process right now and if they discharge me i'm not going to be able to properly take care of it. My plan is to use my GI bill when i get out and finish my...
I wish i had gone with single also. In fact that's what SBC recommended but the place i bought it from said this was a safer bet with my mods. I have a stock truck, with the exception of the smarty but i assumed they were right. Anyway it's very frustrating, I really don't even drive it anymore...
