I just picked up a 2017 3500 Big Horn. It has the single reflector-style headlights. Has anyone done an LED upgrade for these lights? If so, any recommendations for a good kit? TIA
So, I know this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything within the last several years and nothing that addresses the polished wheels. My 2015 Laramie Longhorn Dually has the polished aluminum wheels, so I can't rotate the tires (front to rear, anyway) without dismounting them from...
I removed the headlight (each side), ran the Recon wires up into the headlight area, then used PosiTap connectors to tap into the turn signal and parking light wires. If you look closely at the plug, the wires are numbered. I don't remember which was which, but I know that I tapped into wires 2...
I installed the lights (but didn't hook up the ice function yet) and they were immediately problematic. After calling Recon, I was told that I would need to install the diodes that were included in the kit. Well, I hadn't seen any diodes with the kit, so I started digging...into the original...
I have a 2015 3500 Laramie Longhorn dually and I'm about to install the Recon Big Rig Ice lights. My question is where to tap in for the ice light function. I need to know what wire, and where to find it, for the interior lights. TIA
The power rear slider on my '06 Mega broke the other day. The plastic where the cable attaches on the left side broke. The window will open, but I have to close it manually. The cables look OK. Can the slider section be replaced by separately and, if so, can it be done by a shadetree mechanic...
I already have the Banks RamAir system with a CFM+ intake and 4" MBRP exhaust. I'm also running the Banks Bullet tuner. Is it worth my money to add the scoop to the Banks RamAir?
I know this issue has been addressed before, but I searched the threads and wasn't able to really get an answer. My '06 instrument cluster has started to act up. Intermittently, it will just shut off, the seatbelt alarm will start sounding, then it will just start working again. This all happens...
My Sentry Key system will NOT let me program a new key. I follow the directions in the owners manual to a T, but it seems as though it's not going inot the 'learn' mode. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone have any ideas as to a solution? TIA, Jim
OK... I'm sure this has been covered before, but... is running home heating oil in my '06 a possibility? What can I expect as far as power, mileage and problems (with sensors, injectors, etc)? I'm not worried about legalities here.
Can anyone tell me the correct procedure for programming the keys for my '06? I am following the instructions in my owners manual, but its just not working like its supposed to. I have three new keys that are cut, and I managed (somehow) to get one of them programmed, but I can't get the other...
I have a Pro Mount for my Sirius plug-n-play unit, but I need to remove the dash panel surrounding the radio to install it. How does it come apart? It's a 2006 MegaCab 2500, with the full center console and bucket seats.
TIA, Jim
Well, the light just went out on its own, and everything seems to be OK now. I'm thinking that maybe some emissions system sensor was picking up the grease I used while drilling for the thermocouple, or the anti-sieze I put on the threads. Thanks for the replies.
The Mega is the same wheelbase as a Quad with an 8' bed. It does turn somewhat like a greyhound bus, but you get used to it quickly, and I don't think it's as bad as something like a duallie. I believe the towing limits should be the same as a Quad, with everything else being the same (as far as...
I recently installed a Banks Bullet, Banks Ram Air and MBRP exhaust, all with no ill effects. Today, I installed the EGT probe for the Bullet and connected it to the Bullet. The installation went without a hitch, but now the 'check gauges' light is staying on. It's not flashing, just staying on...
