Gotta get rid of the chrome!

Well when buying a used vehicle color and trim aren't my top priorities. Those things can be altered if desired. As for your comparison between a KW T600 and a classic Pete359

Gotta get rid of the chrome!

I used gloss black lacquer on my Jeep Rubicon wheels and they came out nice, held up well to.

    Clear tail lighgts illegall?

I don't want them it it's unsafe or illegal, just thought they looked cool, instead of that big plastic blob of red. ;)

    Clear tail lighgts illegall?

Maybe I'm ignorant, but I assumed something like a brake light, a safety requirement, would be posted on the web site as legal or illegal.

    Clear tail lighgts illegall?

Been looking to replace the stock tail lights and came across a pair on ebay motors that I like but I'm not sure they are legal? Do the brake lights have to be red?

Gotta get rid of the chrome!

Nice! Thanks for the pictures. I can't believe the chrome bumpers take paint. JVolpe how's the Herculiner holding up. Did you use an adhesion promoter like buldog or did you just rough up the chrome?

Gotta get rid of the chrome!

It's been bugging me for a while now. I gotta get rid of the chrome! I thought I'd start with debadging. Then with the Westin tube steps. Should I bother painting them or just ditch 'em and buy black ones? Then there's the grill. Can you paint over the chrome plastic? Then the silver rockers...

    radio not working

Don't know if this is any connection, but my stock radio(RBK) with sirius would always reset itself at start up. Never didn't come on though, like yours, just would go to default sirius station. Then I got new batteries and doesn't do it anymore.

Block heater while traveling and hotels

How cold before you really need to plug in? My truck has never had trouble starting up, and I know it's been low single digits, if not below 0 at times this winter.

    Plowing Snow?

If it's a lot of plowin I'd lean towards the auto. I find the 6 spd a little tiresome to plow with. I don't like the location of reverse and it can get a little hoppy while backing up.

    Used programmer worth the risk?

Thanks Bob. I would not have even thought of that.

    PSM cold air intake system

wcjp, nice job on the air intake mod. Thanks for the pictures!

    Used programmer worth the risk?

Amen to that. But I think I'm equally concerned not having any manufacture's help/warranty if a used unit goes bad.

    Used programmer worth the risk?

Always in search of a deal I've seen some used programmers for sale, some by TDR members. Is this something that should be bought new? What would you do?
