One of our friends wrote this tech article about the front Dana 60. I especially like the part about tearing down a plow truck front Dana 60 with over 250K miles and finding it basically in good shape. http://www.mopartruckparts.com/tech/t019.html Tyler has also done several Cummins conversions...
After having the suspension on our trailer fail twice, we decided to upgrade it's capacity, so it can do the job it should have been capable of doing when it left the factory. Please click the link to see what we did: http://www.mopartruckparts.com/tech/t020.html
We replaced all our interior incandescent with generic LED lights from r & p carriages. Over half of them have failed or work intermittantly and R & P don't want to help. I don't mind replacing them all again, but I would like to get some good quality LED lights so I don't have to poke too many...
We have been dissatisfied with the brightness of our headlights from day 1. I have tried the Bright Box, but it wasn't reliable. Is there a good well made LED headlight available? I found these on eBay...
I recommend Jim Galatioto at ATO Performance Transmissions. Jim built a 48RE for us that we have been very happy with. Please click the link to see the article we did about the transmission Jim built for us: http://www.mopartruckparts.com/tech/t016.html
Great Idea to paint the spot! You can wrap masking tape around the joint for a few miles so it catches the "sling off" and doesn't get grease all over the bottom of the truck.
Since everyone is shopping, I wanted to pass along 2 bargains I found as a way of thanking everyone for the help I have received from the TDR forums. Fleetguard LF 16035 oil filters for $9. 80 each (fits 89-11) from Fleetguard Oil Filter; 89-11 Cummins 5. 9L & 6. 7L (LF16035) and Mopar 53034249...
The problem is not your computer skills (or lack of them). It is the Smarty update/download procedure, which is poorly explained, very unclear and should be an embarrassment to the people selling the product. Smarty has been on the market several years and is an excellent product, but no one...
Got it Going!
I finally got the new programming into the Smarty. Downloading the files, getting them unzipped, initiating the executable and getting the new programming into the Smarty is where I had trouble. Getting the new program into the truck was straightforward.
I still think a...
Is there a link to a well written procedure for updating a Smarty Jr. The information on the MAD Electronics website is very inadequate, incomplete and hard to follow.
Is there also a chart that shows what the parameters are for each of the 3 levels? The only parameters shown in the...
When Jim Galatioto at ATO Racing Transmissions ATO Performance Transmissions built our transmission, he used no parts from Chrysler Corp, all aftermarket like Sonnax and other premium parts vendors. Please click on the link to see the article we did on the transmission.

Linville Brothers on El Camino Ave in Sacramento was highly recommended to me and I am happy to pass the recommendation to you. I had my 07 Mega cab 4X4 in for an alignment check. They spent about 45 minutes checking it out, said everything was within spec, no parts had failed and there would be...
I can also enthusiastically endorse the Pull-Rite Super Glide 24K hitch. We purchased one based on my neighbor's favorable experience with the hitch in his short bed Chevrolet. We pull a #9500 Toyhauler and the pin is approximately 1 inch behind the rear axle centerline when we are pulling...
