The tech at the Cummins shop said that some oils even though cummins approved and spec'ed 15w40 can be to thin, and, or too easily caused to foam. --- All I know is Rotella from now on.

My vent tube is making a mess on the bottom of the truck, and driveway. I have read about the bottle fix and will do that this weekend, but I was wondering what is the problem with venting the engine to the intake?
I know that the change in the season and rise in oil prices cause a general rise in fuel cost, but here in Dallas suddenly diesel is more expensive than premium gas. It was 3 cents cheaper than regular gas at the beginning of summer. Any ideas?

I just did the KDP tab fix and replaced the crank seal to hopefully fix a frontend leak. KDP was still seated but the bolt next to it was one full turn loose. 200k miles. I still have the leak and it appears to be coming from the gasket joint of the fixture holding the smooth pulley just above...
