Also, it may not be necessary to monitor, as it's my understanding that the truck will defuel if EGTs reach a maximum temperature. Not sure of this, do you know?
The alternator could easily load up a large capacitor between regens. Wouldn't that work to get it electrically heated? Or would that be too short of an electrical blast?
I've owned trucks for 75 years, and without a doubt, my 2020 HO is the best one yet.

I have a Noco Genius GBX55 in my Ecodiesel and a Noco GB150 in my 3500 6.7 HO. Others report that their Noco GB40 also starts their 6.7 okay. IMO the GB40 is marginal.
I recharge mine once a year if not used, They are Lithium batteries so hold their charge very well
My 2020 HO AGM batteries are 4 yrs, 9 mos old and still test strong. It sits for months at a time with a NOCO Genius 10 battery charger/maintainer. I only use it once a year for a 2000-mile trip running empty and two or three 300 mile trips pulling my 9800 lb trailer to the desert dry...

That must be why my 2020 HO's heater will occasionally come on in San Diego's mild weather after sitting for a few weeks. It's the first start-up, and the outside temperature is 65 degrees. It's emissions-oriented, not cold start temperature...
